Seton Catholic dropped their record down to 14-2 on Friday, which also ended the team's 13-game streak of wins. They lost 6-0 to the Prairie Falcons. Having soared to a lofty 24 runs in the game before, the Cougars' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

As for Prairie, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-6. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games.

For Prairie's part, Michael Rovig tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run over five innings pitched. Rovig has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Owen Dirks, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Nolan Nunn, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs.

Looking ahead, Seton Catholic will venture away from home to face off against Castle Rock at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Cougars are facing the Rockets at the right time seeing as the Rockets are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Prairie, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, an 8-0 win against Kelso on the 28th.
