Softball Recap: Greenfield-Central Comes Up Short

After flying high against Delta on Friday, Greenfield-Central came back down to earth. The Cougars fell 6-1 to the Triton Central Tigers on Monday. The game marked the Cougars' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Greenfield-Central saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Savvanna Riall, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Greenfield-Central's defeat dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Triton Central, they pushed their record up to 14-2 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season.

Coming up, Greenfield-Central will welcome Pendleton Heights at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Triton Central, they will head out on the road to challenge Indianapolis Cardinal Ritter at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Raiders will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Tigers surely won't give up without a fight.
