Softball Recap: West Sabine Takes a Loss

If West Sabine was feeling good fresh off their 17-0 takedown of Burkeville last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Tigers took a 7-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Corrigan-Camden Bulldogs on Friday. The loss continues a trend for the Tigers in their meetings with the Bulldogs: they've now lost five in a row.

West Sabine saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gracie Ross, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI.

West Sabine's defeat dropped their record down to 17-8. As for Corrigan-Camden, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-3-1 record this season.

West Sabine does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Corrigan-Camden, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Chester at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bulldogs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Yellowjackets have averaged an impressive 9.4 runs per game this season.
