Softball Recap: Central Cambria Red Devils vs. Westmont Hilltop Hilltoppers

Central Cambria can now show off 12 landslide victories after their most recent match on Tuesday. They blew past the Westmont Hilltop Hilltoppers 14-4. Winning may never get old, but Central Cambria sure is getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

Keira Link was a major factor no matter where she played. She pitched six innings while giving up four earned runs off five hits. Link was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

In other batting news, Kathryn George and Olivia Janosik did most of the damage at the plate: George got on base in all four of her plate appearances with a home run, two RBI, and a double, while Janosik went 1-for-3 with a home run, three runs, and three RBI. Another player making a difference was Aubrey Ruddek, who went 2-for-4 with a home run and two runs.

On Westmont Hilltop's side, Quinn Kuzmiack was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run while going 1-for-2. The team also got some help courtesy of Ashlyn Kist, who scored a run while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.

Central Cambria's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-4. As for Westmont Hilltop, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season.
