Agawam is a perfect 4-0 against Belchertown since May of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Brownies will face off against the Orioles at 5:15 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Last Friday, Agawam came up short against Chicopee Comp and fell 3-1. The game marked the Brownies' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Agawam started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 19-25, 25-14, 25-22, 25-23.

Agawam's loss came about despite a quality game from Eric Nazarets, who had 17 digs and two assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Elijah Ramos, who had 23 assists and two aces.

Meanwhile, Belchertown was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to Chicopee Comp.

Belchertown's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Agawam, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 5-1.

Everything went Agawam's way against Belchertown in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, as Agawam made off with a 3-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Brownies since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
