Softball Recap: Bexley Takes a Loss

Bexley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 21st straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 13-7 to the Millersport Lakers. One positive for the Lions, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Kyra Duffee was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3. Those runs marked the first that she scored this season. Davaney Prophet was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run and three RBI.

Bexley's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Millersport, the win keeps they at an undefeated 5-0.

Coincidentally, Bexley and Millersport will both be playing Bishop Hartley the next time they take the field. Millersport will host Bishop Hartley at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, while Bexley will play them later in the day, at 2:00 p.m.
