Basketball Recap: Roosevelt Beats Eagle Valley for Their 13th Straight Win

It's playoff time, and Roosevelt had no trouble coming through when it counted. They simply couldn't be stopped on Saturday as they easily beat the Eagle Valley Devils 61-30. The Roughriders have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 16 contests by 20 points or more this season.

Kyla Hollier was her usual excellent self, shooting 47% from the field en route to 26 points in addition to eight rebounds and six steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Roosevelt's points. Ryanne Bahnsen-Price was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with 16 points and nine boards.

Roosevelt was working as a unit and finished the game with 13 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Eagle Valley only three assists.

The win (which was Roosevelt's 13th in a row) raised their record to 21-3. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.8 points over those games. As for Eagle Valley, with the loss, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 13-12.

Roosevelt didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 60-37 victory against George Washington on the 5th. Eagle Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
