 Making Waves Academy came tearing into  Friday's  match with five straight wins  (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.2 runs) and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Valley Christian Vikings as they made off with  a  16-6 victory. The result was nothing new for Making Waves Academy, who have now won five matchups by seven  runs or more  so far this season.
  Oscar Serrano made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound,   striking out nine batters over  five innings while giving up  five earned  (and one unearned) runs off   three  hits. Serrano was even better at the plate,  scoring three  runs and  stealing four bases while  getting on base  in two of his five plate appearances. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more  stolen bases the last three times he's  played.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Adan Guzman, who  scored two  runs and  stole six bases while  getting on base  in all four of his plate appearances.  Coincidentally,  the two teams will both be playing Bentley the next time they take the field. Valley Christian will  host Bentley at 4:00  p.m.  on Tuesday, while Making Waves Academy will head out to face them  at 7:00  p.m.  on Thursday.
