Collinsville had already won seven in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10 runs) and they went ahead and made it eight on Tuesday. They walked away with a 7-4 win over the Brewer Patriots.

Zach Clanton looked comfortable as he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Gavin Lang was incredible, scoring a run and stealing three bases while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in February. The team also got some help courtesy of Sylas Adams, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

Collinsville pushed their record up to 13-4 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Brewer, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-9.

Looking ahead, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Collinsville Panthers face off against Oak Grove Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Brewer, they will square off against Bradley-Bourbonnais at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday.
