Softball Recap: Ironwood Comes Up Short

After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last three matchups, Ironwood finally came back down to earth on Tuesday. They lost 10-0 to the Willow Canyon Wildcats. The Eagles have struggled against the Wildcats recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

Ironwood's loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 6-8. As for Willow Canyon, their win was their 18th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-6-1.

While Ironwood had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday.
