Softball Recap: Normangee Takes a Loss

If Normangee was feeling good fresh off their 16-5 takedown of Centerville last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Panthers came up short against the Leon Cougars on Tuesday, falling 14-3. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cougars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 19-6 back in March.

Normangee saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nolan Harris, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-3.

Normangee's defeat dropped their record down to 9-15. As for Leon, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-10 record this season.

Normangee does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Leon, they will take on Grapeland at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
