Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Fort Calhoun). They really took it to the David City Scouts for the full four quarters, racking up a 63-32 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Pioneers have posted since February 8th.

David City's loss on Friday came despite strong showings from Cameron Hlavac and Cohen Denker. Hlavac made all 6 shots he took for 16 points and four steals, while Denker posted seven points and five rebounds. That's the most steals Hlavac has posted since back in January.

Fort Calhoun's victory bumped their record up to 2-4. As for David City, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-4.

Fort Calhoun will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against West Point-Beemer at 7:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. As for David City, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 54-50 defeat against Lakeview on the 21st.
