Waseca came tearing into Tuesday's contest with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.3 points), and they left with even more momentum. They took down the Pine Island Panthers 85-69. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Bluejays' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 84th, while the Panthers are ranked 206th).

Waseca's victory bumped their record up to 14-7. As for Pine Island, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 12 of their last 13 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-16 record this season.

Waseca wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 74-49 win against Hope Academy on the 19th. As for Pine Island, they will square off against Goodhue at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers will need to watch out since the Wildcats have now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
