Recap: Pflugerville Panthers vs. Cedar Ridge Raiders
The Pflugerville Panthers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their seventh straight loss. The matchup between Pflugerville and Cedar Ridge wasn't particularly close, with Pflugerville falling 71-55. While losing is never fun, Pflugerville can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 680th, while Cedar Ridge is ranked 245th).
Leading Cedar Ridge to victory were Sam Fielding and Peyton Dulin. Fielding scored 19 points along with 7 rebounds, while Dulin scored 30 points along with 6 rebounds. The game was Dulin's 12th in a row with at least ten points. Randall Guidry was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Pflugerville's loss dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Cedar Ridge, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-6 record this season.
Pflugerville will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against SA Roosevelt at 9:00 a.m. on December 9th. Hopefully SA Roosevelt focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 on Friday. As for Cedar Ridge, they will square off against Coppell at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday.
