Barr-Reeve takes loss despite strong efforts from Elle Knepp and Hannah Bledsoe

Recap: Barr-Reeve Vikings vs. Loogootee Lions
After flying high against the Bloomfield Cardinals last Saturday, the Barr-Reeve Vikings came back down to earth. Barr-Reeve took a 34-30 hit to the loss column at the hands of Loogootee. Barr-Reeve was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Loogootee apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2022.
Hannah Bledsoe and Elle Knepp certainly did their best on Thursday to try and avoid the loss. Bledsoe scored three points along with eight rebounds, while Knepp scored six points along with three steals. Those three steals set a new season-high mark for her.
Barr-Reeve now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Loogootee, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-5.
Barr-Reeve will be home for the holidays to greet Paoli at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Paoli is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses. As for Loogootee, they will head out on the road to face off against Springs Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Springs Valley is coming into the game hot, having won their last four games.
