Volleyball Game Preview: Santa Ana Valley Falcons vs. Bolsa Grande Matadors

The Santa Ana Valley Falcons are taking a road trip to take on the Bolsa Grande Matadors at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday.

On Tuesday, Santa Ana Valley didn't have quite enough to beat Rancho Alamitos and fell 3-2. The Falcons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Santa Ana Valley wouldn't go down easily and took Rancho Alamitos into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking seven-point loss. The final score came out to 18-25, 25-12, 25-20, 22-25, 15-8.

Meanwhile, Bolsa Grande earned a 3-1 victory over Anaheim on Tuesday. The win continues a trend for the Matadors in their matchups with the Colonists: they've now won three in a row.

The victory got Bolsa Grande back to even at 8-8. As for Santa Ana Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-6.

Santa Ana Valley beat Bolsa Grande 3-1 in their previous matchup two weeks ago. The rematch might be a little tougher for Santa Ana Valley since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
