Soccer Game Preview: Mandeville vs. Fontainebleau

The Mandeville Skippers will head out to face off against the Fontainebleau Bulldogs at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a three-game winning streak alive.

Mandeville's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They put the hurt on Ponchatoula with a sharp 5-0 victory. The Skippers' defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last three contests.

Meanwhile, Fontainebleau faced Northshore in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. Fontainebleau blew past Northshore 3-0. The score was close at the half, but the Bulldogs pulled away in the second half with two goals.

Mandeville has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-6-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those five games. As for Fontainebleau, their win bumped their record up to 7-3-8.

Mandeville beat Fontainebleau 2-0 in their previous meeting back in January of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Mandeville since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
