Basketball Recap: North Sevier Takes a Loss

North Sevier was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They took a 54-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Grand County Red Devils. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wolves this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 44-33 on January 4th.

Grand County's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ainsleigh Kasprick, who posted 17 points and seven steals. Gemma Phillips was another key player, dropping a double-double on 13 points and 14 boards.

North Sevier's defeat dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Grand County, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-7.

North Sevier has already played their next game (against San Juan), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Grand County wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 44-43 victory against Gunnison Valley on the 25th.
