Mentor had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They were the clear victors by  a  3-0 margin over the Chardon Hilltoppers. For the Cardinals, this counts as revenge for the   3-2 win the Hilltoppers walked away with the last time they faced one another  back in March of 2024.
 Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Mentor took every set by at least 25 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-0, 25-0,  25-0.
Mentor can attribute much of their success to  Chazz Weigel, who  had ten  digs and two  aces.  Alex Nicoletti also deserves some recognition as  he  posted his first  assist of the season.
 They weren't the only good server: Mentor  was lethal from the service line and  finished the game with 18  aces. They are  a perfect 4-0 when  they serve at least ten aces.
Mentor pushed their record up to 9-6 with the  victory, which was their third straight  at home. As for Chardon, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-6.
 Mentor didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next  match,  a  3-0  win against Kenston on the 28th. As for Chardon, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next  contest,  a  3-0  victory against North on the 28th.
