Basketball Recap: Alana Morris' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Carvers Bay over Military Magnet Academy

Carvers Bay suffered their biggest defeat since December 29, 2023 on Friday. They lost 55-35 to the Military Magnet Academy Eagles.

Carvers Bay lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Alana Morris, who posted nine points and three steals. Erykah Brown was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Military Magnet Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Lauren Willis, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 13 boards. That's the most rebounds Willis has posted since back in January. The team also got some help courtesy of Dream Watson, who put up six points along with nine rebounds and seven assists.

Carvers Bay's loss dropped their record down to 8-3. As for Military Magnet Academy, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-3.

Carvers Bay didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 46-28 win against Conway on the 28th. As for Military Magnet Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 56-26 victory against Rock Hill on the 28th.
