Football Recap: Bloomington North Piles Up the Points Against Jeffersonville

You can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Bloomington North's strategy against Jeffersonville on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Cougars blew the Red Devils out of the water with a 36-3 final score. The contest was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Cougars had established a 26-point advantage.

Bloomington North's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was John Bargen, who threw for 193 yards and three TDs. The Cougars are undefeated when Bargen posts three or more passing touchdowns, but 0-3 otherwise. Bloomington North also got a significant boost from Brayden Johnson, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 117 yards.

Bloomington North was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 205 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in November of 2024.

The win got Bloomington North back to even at 3-3. As for Jeffersonville, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-4.
