Baseball Game Preview: Encina Bulldogs vs. San Juan Spartans

Encina is on a seven-game streak of home losses dating back to last season, and San Juan a six-game streak of away losses also dating back to last season. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Monday. The Encina Bulldogs will welcome the San Juan Spartans at 3:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Encina and Highlands, and Encina kept the tradition alive. Encina fell just short of Highlands by a score of 10-9 on Friday.

Philip Domondon made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored three runs and stole three bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Henry Gridiron was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-2.
