Jonathan Diaz, Mater Academy East Las Vegas's leader in kills on the season, led the team again on Friday. Diaz had nine kills, seven digs, five aces, and three blocks, which was good enough to set a new career-high in blocks.

Diaz and Mater Academy East Las Vegas will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Virgin Valley at 6:00 p.m. on March 24th. Mater Academy East Las Vegas hasn't beaten Virgin Valley recently, having gone 0-5 since April of 2023.
