Baseball Recap: Oak Hill Comes Up Short

After flying high against Midland Trail on Saturday, Oak Hill came back down to earth. The Red Devils fell just short of the Woodrow Wilson Flying Eagles by a score of 7-6 on Tuesday. The Red Devils were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Flying Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Owen Grose was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Devin Richardson, who went 1-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base.

Oak Hill has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season. As for Woodrow Wilson, their win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 11-8.

Looking ahead, Oak Hill will square off against Nicholas County at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Woodrow Wilson, they will take on Wyoming East at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
