Soccer Recap: Floyd Central Takes a Loss

Floyd Central's game on Thursday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell just short of the Jeffersonville Red Devils by a score of 1-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Floyd Central of the 4-3 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Floyd Central's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 5-3-1. As for Jeffersonville, their victory bumped their record up to 7-2-1.

Looking ahead, Floyd Central will challenge Bloomington South at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. As for Jeffersonville, they will face off against Jennings County at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Jeffersonville will be up against Jennings County's rather soft defense (which has allowed 4.11 goals per match), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
