Recap: Lake Braddock Bruins vs. Robinson Rams

The Lake Braddock Bruins had to endure a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They strolled past Robinson with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 61-46. For Lake Braddock, this counts as revenge for the 60-58 defeat Robinson walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2023.

Robinson's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Scott Van antwerp, who scored nine points along with eight rebounds. Another player making a difference was Noah Barnhart, who scored 14 points along with two steals.

Lake Braddock's win ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-14. As for Robinson, their defeat was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 5-12.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lake Braddock will take on Fairfax at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Fairfax presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Lake Braddock in Virginia (Fairfax is ranked 57th, while Lake Braddock is ranked 307th). As for Robinson, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Alexandria City at 7:30 p.m. Hopefully Alexandria City focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up eight on Wednesday.
