Basketball Game Preview: Trigg County Wildcats vs. Lyon County Lyons

Trigg County is 0-10 against Lyon County since March of 2021 but things could change on Saturday. The Trigg County Wildcats will look to defend their home court against the Lyon County Lyons at 7:30 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Trigg County is headed into Saturday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their seventh straight game on Tuesday. They received a blow as they fell 78-64 to Webster County.

Meanwhile, Lyon County had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 23.3 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They came out on top against the Tigers by a score of 79-70.

Lyon County's win was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 21-6. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 86.3 points over those games. As for Trigg County, their loss dropped their record down to 7-16.
