Football Game Preview: Polytech Panthers vs. Milford Buccaneers + Official Tickets

The Polytech Panthers will head out to face off against the Milford Buccaneers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Polytech hasn't scored more than 12 points for five games straight, a trend the squad is eager to reverse.

Polytech is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Red Lion Christian Academy on Wednesday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Panthers were dealt a 42-6 defeat at the hands of the Lions. The Panthers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 26-6.

Meanwhile, Milford scored the most points they've had this season on Thursday, but it wasn't enough. They and Delaware Military Academy were almost perfectly matched up, but the Buccaneers suffered a 39-38 loss. Despite 154 more yards than the Seahawks, the Buccaneers couldn't convert that extra yardage to scores.

Polytech will have to contain Andrew Sivels as he made an impact in Milford's last game. He rushed for 113 yards and two TDs on only 12 carries.

Polytech now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Milford, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-7.

Polytech couldn't quite get it done against Milford in their previous meeting back in November of 2019 as they fell 7-0. Can the Panthers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
