Volleyball Preview: Lee Wildcats vs. Pittsfield Generals
Lee is 9-1 against Pittsfield since October of 2016, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Wednesday. The Lee Wildcats will be playing in front of their home fans against the Pittsfield Generals at 6:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Lee has four straight victories, Pittsfield has seven straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Lee took Wahconah Regional into a fifth set where they got it done with a eight-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 19-25, 23-25, 25-22, 15-7.
Meanwhile, Pittsfield came up short against West Springfield on Monday and fell 3-1.
Pittsfield started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. After all that action, the final score was 23-25, 25-20, 25-14, 28-26.
Pittsfield's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Brenna Bellefontaine, who had four aces and three digs, and Gionnah Levardi, who had eight digs and two aces. The dominant performance gave Levardi a new career-high in aces.
Even though they lost, Pittsfield was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 13 aces. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved they're ace total in three consecutive matches.
Lee's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Pittsfield, their loss dropped their record down to 0-6.
