Santa Fe Trail's win ends three-game losing streak at home

Recap: Santa Fe Trail Chargers vs. Osawatomie Trojans

The Santa Fe Trail Chargers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 71-54 victory over Osawatomie. The victory was just what Santa Fe Trail needed coming off of a 68-38 loss in their prior matchup.

Osawatomie's loss came despite strong showings from Jasper Sallee and Jaxon Stevenson. Sallee scored 14 points along with five rebounds, while Stevenson scored 11 points along with five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Tucker Fennel, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds.

Santa Fe Trail's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 10-6. As for Osawatomie, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-11.

Santa Fe Trail will head out on the road to challenge Burlington at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Osawatomie, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Iola at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Iola knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matchups -- so hopefully Osawatomie likes a good challenge.
