Volleyball Game Preview: Carlin Railroaders vs. Owyhee Braves

For the second straight game, Carlin will face off against Owyhee. After both having extra time off, the two teams will shake off the rust and duke it out at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Carlin has struggled recently with nine defeats in a row, while Owyhee will arrive with five straight victories.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Carlin and Owyhee meet (four straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Friday. The Railroaders fell 3-1 to the Braves.

Carlin started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 25-9, 25-13, 25-6.

Carlin's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Owyhee, their win bumped their record up to 9-2.
