Volleyball Recap: Pinewood Wins Going Away Against Eastside College Prep

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against King's Academy, Pinewood was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over Eastside College Prep. The win continues a trend for Pinewood in their matchups with Eastside College Prep: they've now won seven in a row.

The final score came out to 25-13, 25-17, 25-13.

Pinewood can attribute much of their success to Abigail Wessel, who had eight digs and three aces. Those three aces gave Wessel a new career-high.

Wessel wasn't the only good servers: Pinewood was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 20 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.

Pinewood's victory bumped their record up to 16-7. As for Eastside College Prep, their defeat ended a three-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-14.

Pinewood has already played their next match, a 3-2 loss against Design Tech on the 20th. As for Eastside College Prep, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Mid-Peninsula on the 17th.
