Basketball Recap: Rockvale's Victory on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Two

Rockvale won the last time they faced Mount Juliet, and Amaya Nash did her part to make sure it happened again. Rockvale walked away with a 56-49 victory over the Mount Juliet Golden Bears on Friday thanks in part to Nash, who went 6 of 10 on her way to 19 points in addition to six boards and four steals. Her evening made it four games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Jade Watson, who posted six points along with eight assists and six boards. That's the most assists she has posted since back in January.

The win made it two in a row for Rockvale and bumps their season record up to 6-6. As for Mount Juliet, their loss dropped their record down to 5-7.

Rockvale will be taking part in a tournament against Ramsay at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. Rockvale is facing Ramsay at the right time seeing as Ramsay is stuck on a three-game losing streak. Mount Juliet and Nashville Christian will round out the year against one another at at 9:00 a.m. on December 28th.
