Basketball Recap: Boone Takes a Loss

After flying high against Webster City last Thursday, Boone came back down to earth. The Boone Toreadors were beaten by the Newton Cardinals 97-54 on Monday. The Toreadors were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 50-26.

Boone dropped their record down to 9-15 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Newton, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-10 record this season.

Boone does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Newton, they will square off against Pella at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
