Mohawk Area saw some tournament action on Friday. They snuck past the Mercyhurst Prep Lakers with a 72-68 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Warriors.

Several Lakers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Tanner Ashton, who posted 19 points. The dominant performance gave Ashton a new career-high in points. Aiden Ollinger was another key player, putting up 15 points.

Mohawk Area's victory bumped their record up to 2-0.

Mohawk Area wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, an 80-76 loss against Deer Lakes on the 10th. As for Mercyhurst Prep, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 58-54 defeat against Howland on the 7th.
