Basketball Recap: Calvary Chapel Academy Takes a Loss

Calvary Chapel Academy lost against Holbrook back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Calvary Chapel Academy took a 40-36 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Holbrook Bulldogs.

Ashya Dingle was her usual excellent self, putting up 19 points along with six rebounds and six steals for Holbrook. Dingle has become a key player for Holbrook: the team is 11-4 when she posts at least five steals, but 1-4 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Janiyah Smith, who posted 11 points and five boards.

Calvary Chapel Academy now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Holbrook, their victory bumped their record up to 12-8.

Looking ahead, Calvary Chapel Academy won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Bethany Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Bethany Christian Academy will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Calvary Chapel Academy surely won't give up without a fight. Holbrook does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
