Volleyball Recap: Sunnybrook Christian Lions vs. Annapolis Christian Academy Warriors
After flying high against Southwest Prep Northeast last Tuesday, Sunnybrook Christian came back down to earth. The Sunnybrook Christian Lions fell just short of the Annapolis Christian Academy Warriors by a score of 3-2 on Friday. The Lions were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Warriors apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played last Tuesday.
Sunnybrook Christian took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The final score came out to 25-18, 17-25, 19-25, 25-13, 15-13.
Annapolis Christian Academy was led to victory by Annalyn Brushe and Kenzie Stice. Brushe had 12 digs, while Stice had 26 kills, 18 digs, two blocks, and two aces. Stice has been hot , having posted six or more kills the last six times she's played.
Sunnybrook Christian moved to 21-21-1 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Annapolis Christian Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-9 record this season.
Sunnybrook Christian will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Varsity Opponent at 9:00 a.m. on December 2, 2030. Annapolis Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
