Leander has gone a perfect 5-0 against Lockhart recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. Leander fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against Rouse on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Raiders by a score of 6-5. The Lions' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Rachel Grundei was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-4 with one home run. The team also got some help courtesy of Madelyn Lee, who went 1-for-5 with four RBI and one double.

Meanwhile, Lockhart was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 13-7 to Cedar Park.

Genesis Lopez and Dani Valadez stepped up to the plate in a big way. Lopez scored two runs while going 2-for-4, while Valadez scored two runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. Marissa Sosa was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-4.

Leander's defeat dropped their record down to 17-9. As for Lockhart, their loss dropped their record down to 4-16.

Lockhart's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Leander hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .370. It's a different story for Lockhart, though, as they've only averaged .247. Will they be able to contain Leander's hitters?

Everything went Leander's way against Lockhart in their previous matchup back in March, as Leander made off with a 10-0 win. Does Leander have another victory up their sleeve, or will Lockhart turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
