Basketball Game Preview: Franklin Quakers vs. Rainier Beach Vikings

The Franklin Quakers will take on the Rainier Beach Vikings in a holiday battle at at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Franklin has four straight wins, Rainier Beach has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

If Franklin beats Rainier Beach with 49 points on Friday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two games with that exact score. Franklin secured a 49-43 W over Chief Sealth on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Rainier Beach scored the most points they've had this season on Wednesday, but it wasn't enough. They took a hard 63-47 fall against Ballard.

Franklin's victory bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Rainier Beach, they now have a losing record at 2-3.
