Baseball Recap: Derby Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Derby can now relate to. They lost 9-1 to the St. Paul Catholic Falcons on Monday. The Red Raiders' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it seven in a row.

Derby saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brooklyn Fernandez, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Derby's loss dropped their record down to 8-13. As for St. Paul Catholic, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 20-3.

As of now, neither Derby nor the Falcons have any future games scheduled.
