Football Recap: Loomis Chaffee School Takes a Loss

Loomis Chaffee School made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Avon Old Farms, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Pelicans fell just short of the Beavers by a score of 31-28 on Saturday. While losing is never fun, the Pelicans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Connecticut football rankings (they are ranked 29th, while the Beavers are ranked second).

Loomis Chaffee School is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6. As for Avon Old Farms, their victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-0.

Coming up, Loomis Chaffee School will take on Kent School at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Avon Old Farms, they will be playing at home against Salisbury School at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Beavers will be up against the Crimson Knights' rather soft defense (which has allowed 28.25 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
