Merit Preparatory Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a blow against the Rockwell Marshals, falling 83-53. The Knights were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 39-16.

When it comes to explaining why Merit Preparatory Academy lost, don't look at Ayden Martinez. Despite the final result, he went 7 for 14 on his way to 20 points and six boards. Another player making a difference was Miles Petersen, who posted 15 points in addition to six rebounds and three steals.

Merit Preparatory Academy's defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-7. As for Rockwell, the victory was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-11.
