Basketball Recap: West Shore Takes a Loss

West Shore played a tough matchup on Thursday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were outmatched by the Titusville Terriers and fell 58-28. The Wildcats were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 30-9.

Despite the loss, West Shore saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Reagan Hill posted seven points.

Kennedie Sanders was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 37 points and 12 steals for Titusville. The game was Sanders' sixth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Braniyah Brown, who almost dropped a double-double on 17 rebounds and nine steals.

This is the second loss in a row for West Shore and nudges their season record down to 4-11. As for Titusville, they moved to 10-15 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. West Shore will welcome Pineapple Cove Classical Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. West Shore is facing Pineapple Cove Classical Academy at the right time seeing as Pineapple Cove Classical Academy is stuck on an 11-game losing streak. Titusville has already played their next contest (against Eau Gallie), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
