Softball Recap: Legacy Ranch Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Manor New Tech typically has all the answers at home, but on Saturday Legacy Ranch proved too difficult a challenge. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-4 victory over the Titans. Winning may never get old, but the Wranglers sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Anslee Heathington spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and two unearned) runs on eight hits.

At the plate, Marissa Andrade was excellent, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. That stolen base marked the first that she has snagged this season. Harper Flores was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

Legacy Ranch's win bumped their record up to 4-7. As for Manor New Tech, their defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-8.

Coincidentally, Legacy Ranch and Manor New Tech will both be playing Lago Vista the next time they take the field. The Titans will head out to face the Vikings at 6:00 p.m. on the 24th, while the Wranglers will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on the 27th.
