Basketball Recap: New Diana Falls Despite Big Games from Starrmia Dixon and Taryn Reece

New Diana lost against Chapel Hill back in November of 2019 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The New Diana Eagles took a 30-25 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Chapel Hill Red Devils.

New Diana's loss came despite strong showings from Taryn Reece and Starrmia Dixon. Reece posted 11 points and six boards, while Dixon put up 11 points.

New Diana has traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 13-15 record this season. As for Chapel Hill, they moved to 8-15 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

New Diana will head out on the road to take on Jefferson at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Jefferson will roll in looking for their tenth straight victory, something New Diana surely won't give up without a fight. As for Chapel Hill, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Daingerfield at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Chapel Hill is facing Daingerfield at the right time seeing as Daingerfield is stuck on a 17-game losing streak.
