Softball Recap: Valley Christian Snags Seventh Victory in Last Eight Games

There's no place like home for Valley Christian, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They walked away with a 9-6 win over the Eastmark Firebirds on Thursday. This was payback for the Trojans, who suffered a 4-1 defeat the last time these two teams met.

The team relied heavily on Corinne Rodgers, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Makay Fraley, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Valley Christian was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .421. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .304 or higher in six consecutive games.

Valley Christian is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-1-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.3 runs over those games. Eastmark's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 4-4.
