Basketball Game Preview: Dothan Wolves vs. Carroll Eagles

The Dothan Wolves are taking a road trip to face off against the Carroll Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Dothan comes in on three and Carroll on four.

Last Tuesday, Dothan beat Carver Montgomery 60-51. Given the Wolves' advantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked fourth, while the Wolverines are ranked 34th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Carroll took their match on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 70-43 win over Headland. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten contests by 22 points or more this season.

Dothan pushed their record up to 21-2 with the victory, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.8 points per game. As for Carroll, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season.

Everything came up roses for Dothan against Carroll in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, as the team secured a 71-39 win. Will Dothan repeat their success, or does Carroll have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
