Baseball Recap: Dover Comes Up Short

Dover lost against Watonga back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Dover came up short against Watonga, falling 9-1. That's two games in a row now that the Longhorns have lost by exactly eight runs.

Dover now has a losing record of 6-7. As for Watonga, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dover will face off against Garber at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Watonga, they will head out to face off against Thomas-Fay-Custer at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Thomas-Fay-Custer will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.
