With a playoff win on the line, Jefferson rose to the challenge on Saturday. They came out on top against the University Hawks by a score of 5-1. This was a revenge game for the Cougars: when they faced off against the Hawks on Friday, they had to take a 11-8 defeat.

Jefferson is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-5 record this season. As for University, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 25-7-1.

Coming up, Jefferson will square off against Cabell Midland at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. The Knights will roll in looking for their 13th straight victory, something the Cougars surely won't give up without a fight. University does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
