Basketball Game Preview: Arapahoe Warriors vs. Cherry Creek Bruins

The Arapahoe Warriors will be taking part in a tournament against the Cherry Creek Bruins at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Arapahoe took a loss when they played away from home last Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They took down Cherokee Trail 60-41. The Warriors haven't had any issues with the Cougars recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, Cherry Creek was able to grind out a solid victory over Mullen on Thursday, taking the game 64-53.

Arapahoe's win bumped their record up to 16-6. As for Cherry Creek, their victory bumped their record up to 9-13.

Arapahoe beat Cherry Creek 56-47 when the teams last played two weeks ago. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Cherry Creek's Jeremiah Hammond, who went 7-for-11 on his way to 23 points and three steals.
